Completed Costumes: Fuu (Samurai Champloo)

Fuu was a waitress, until she met Mugen and Jin. Together, they began a journey to search for the samurai that smelled of sunflowers. This is the first costume that I completely sewed. The flowers on the kimono are hand-painted on.

I'm about halfway done with it actually. Except I just sewed a sleeve on inside-out.

What kind of fabric did you use for this Kimono. I've been looking all over the place for broadcloth in the right color with liitle to no luck =(

I used some heavier cotton. It may have been kona cotton. The white underkimono was done with a cheaper, lightweight cotton. I got it all at Joann's.
